Men's Ice Hockey

General Information

The WSU Men’s Ice Hockey team is a club sport here at Washington State University. The team plays in the Pac-8 conference which is all the Pac-10 schools without University of Arizona and Oregon State University. We are part of the American College Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II and play other teams that are also in the same division.

The coach’s name is Tim Jaglinski and he grew up playing hockey in Wisconsin. The president of the team is Jared Pence. The captains are Gerrod Majeski and Owen Afinson while the assistant captain is Kyle Kinda.

This year there are games scheduled against Walla Walla College, Columbia Basin College, Texas, Texas A and M, and University of Idaho; as well as games against the Pac – 8 teams.

The post-season Pac-8 tournament will be played in Seattle due to lack of ice in Spokane and hosted by WSU. Because of this we are automatically into the tournament. But off of last season’s 11 – 10 record the Cougs are looking to improve and show that they belong there with the other teams.
